July 4th Tips & Recipes From Your Coaches
Here at Vida we are gearing up for our Independence Day celebrations and working hard to help you to gain independence from your concerns over how to enjoy these fun celebrations without losing track of your goals.
The summer is a fun time of backyard BBQ parties, boating excursions, days on the beach and more. You can absolutely have fun and stay on track. To help you I have gathered a few of our coaches and asked them to share their favorite recipes, tips and activities for July 4th and beyond.
Coach Jennifer P. has lots of great recipes to share. These are all her originals. I love a coach who can cook! I am definitely going to try the Skinny Painkiller Cocktail Recipe.
Coach Gretchen was very excited to share a recipe for Grilled Stone Fruit with Balsamic Glaze. She describes them as Amazing. Coach Gretchen enjoys then with chocolate infused balsamic vinegar and served with greek yogurt as a healthy dessert. YUM! Find the recipe HERE!
Coach Jennifer B. points out that leftover watermelon is often on hand so she really enjoys a "watermelon smoothie with a squeeze of lime. It has great lycopene to protect and heal from a day in the sun, hydrating, and oh so yummy!"
After kayaking through the mangroves in Naples Bay with his family Coach Luis looks forward to Orange Balsamic Chicken with Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Parmesan Quinoa from the Green Chef.
I am just loving these tips! How about you?
There are lots of great ideas here. Pick and choose what makes sense for your celebration and save some of the other recipes for later. Enjoy the holiday and if you have any questions, do not forget to ask your Vida Coach. :)
Happy July 4th.
P.S. My offering to the celebration is Japanese Potato Salad. It is super yummy and the main ingredient is NOT mayo as is the case for many other potato salad recipes.
If you are in the mood for a burger you may also like to try Dr. Mark Hyman's Blood Sugar Solution friendly Blue Cheese Cowboy Burger.
