In this Q & A session, Danie explains how Vida has helped her transform her health journey, and describes her special relationship with her coach.
Why did you decide to use Vida?
To find a healthier life style.
What were your health goals and what progress did you make?
My primary health goal was to learn how to workout and eat healthy regardless of amount of traveling I do. With all the information available out there, I needed guidance and tools to assist me in filtering through everything and achieve a healthy lifestyle. Because I travel so much, I also needed a specific workout routine that would help me stay fit, but didn't involve weights or a gym. Fortunately, I was able to link up with my Vida coach, and he not only gave me pro tips on healthy eating and answered all of my questions, but also designed a routine that used my body weight instead of the gym, so that I could do my workout from anywhere. We also do a variety of "weekly challenges" to target specific areas of the body that go along with the workout. Vida gave me something I wasn't expecting; a personal relationship with my health.
What would you like to share about your coach?
My coach is absolutely amazing! If you give him a goal, he designs the path that'll get you there. His dedication to his athletes and health is the kind of perseverance that I hope to have in my own walk to physical fitness. He's a cheerleader when I start slacking, and a motivator when I'm knocking out challenges. I really feel like I'm on the team to success.
How is your life different than it was before Vida?
I'm more aware overall of my food consumption, and my physical activeness. I've always been relatively fit, but it helps to have a professional keeping tabs on where you were and where you're going. I, like most people, leave my health on the back burner. It's really great to have a real person in your life who's paying attention to your healthy living, even when you aren't.
