The Importance of Tracking Your Progress
As you begin the new year, it is a great time to see how much progress you have made over the holidays. For some people, the progress you have made may have been maintaining your current healthy habits through this busy season and that is terrific! By assessing how you have done over the last few weeks, you can decide how best to move forward towards your wellness goals in the new year.
- Exercise: Compared to your exercise routine in early November, what changes have you made?
- Nutrition: Do you have habits or changes you have made over the last few weeks? What ongoing nutrition challenges do you still have that you’d like to focus on in the new year?
- Stress: Were there differences in your stress levels this year as you made your way through the holidays? What techniques or strategies are you currently using to manage your stress?
As you look at changes you have made over the last few months, it is a good time to consider what progress you’d like to see moving forward. Setting up ways to continue to track your progress can help you see how far you have come. Think about your definition of progress as it relates to your own health and let your health coach know how that relates to your new year goals.
